Careers

Serving with the San Andreas Sheriff's Bureau

County law enforcement for Blaine County and Los Santos County. Deputies work patrol across the county, back up the municipal police and the highway patrol on anything that crosses a line, and take the calls that come out of San Andreas Telecommunications.

Every deputy starts at the bottom of the ladder and works up. Promotion is earned through time on patrol, how you handle your calls and the recommendation of your supervisors.

Rank Structure

This is the full ladder as it stands today. The lowest rank in each list is where you start.

Command

  1. Sheriff
  2. Undersheriff
  3. Major
  4. Captain
  5. Lieutenant

Supervisors

  1. Sergeant
  2. Corporal

Patrol

  1. Master Deputy
  2. Deputy Sheriff
  3. Deputy Sheriff Recruit

What We Expect

Know the community rules and standards before you apply, and read them again after you are hired. Deputies are held to them the same way everyone else is, and the Bureau runs a disciplinary record. Beyond that: turn up, work your calls properly, use the radio the way you were taught and treat the people you deal with the same way whether they are cooperative or not.

Training and certifications are issued through the Mountain Valley training site and show against your name on the roster. Badge numbers are assigned by command staff (01-99 supervisors, 100+ members).

Who Reviews Applications

Applications are read by SASB command staff: Adam Morris (Sheriff) and OceanFlyer (Sergeant).
